Mud House Design | competition

Initiated by the NKI Foundation this open source competition seeks to gain awareness and knowledge of the local building traditions in Ghana. Mud as a local building material has been overshadowed by concrete, which is a much more expensive and environmentally unfriendly material. Affordable house types should be developed. These should be easy to build, with mud and other traditional materials, and yet be focused on high durability.
