This single-family house from 2004 in Sandnes, Norway, was extended with 60 m2on two floors. At ground floor level the living- and kitchen area was extended with a large terrace with views to the fjord. The terrace has been sheltered from the entrance area by means of a custom timber trellis. This also serves as wall to the new bicycle garage for this family of six. Below the terrace is integrated into the hillside an annexe flat with separate entrance and two rows of skylights flooding the kitchen-living space with light.
